All India Devotional Song Competition organised as part of annual Katra Navratra Festival will witness performance by celebrity singers on Daily basis, besides by those forming the part of the competition, said the members of the organizing Committee.

On the second day of the preliminary round of competition, Rajeev Salotra from Jammu bagged first position, while Shubham Banerjee from Jammu stood second. Meghna Chandra from Delhi, Vivek Mohan from Jammu and Karan Kumar from Samba shared 3rd position  among the 12 auditioned participants. 

The winner and runners up  were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- Rs 5,000/and Rs 3,000/, respectively.The Devotional Song Competition was judged by the panel of experts in music including Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma, HOD Govt. Degree College Sunni Shimla; Dr.Usha Bhagat, Ex.HOD Music P.G M.A.M College Jammu; Dr. Anupma Sharma, Ex.HOD PG Music Department, Government College Parade.

Famous singer and Former winner of All India Devotional Song Competition Sanjeet Kumar enthralled the audience with his melodious songs and filled the environment of the venue with spiritual ambiance.The proceeding of competition was conducted by Rakesh Wazir- the Chairman of the Competition. 

He said that famous singers have been lined up for their guest performances including Joy Sufi on 30th & 1st Sep, Balraj on 2nd Oct, Shanker Sawhney on 3rd Oct, Richa Sharma  and Amrinder Bobby on 4th Oct and likewise the dates of Lakhwinder Wadalli, Tarun Sagar and other renowned singers are about to be finalized. 

He said live telecast of the event is available on PTC Punjabi Gold from 9 PM onwards daily.The All India Devotional Song Competition is being organized by SMVD Shrine Board, Deptt. of J&K Tourism,PTC Punjabi Gold in association with Patanjali Dantkanti and co sponsored Monalisa, Lia Agarvati, J&K Bank, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Nidesh Builders Pvt. Ltd. Jammu, with active support of District Administration and the local host Community, whereas 92.7 Big FM is Radio partner

It is worthwhile to mention here that the first position holders of daily competition will compete with the winners of the quarter final on 03rd of Oct., for their entry into final and the quarter final will be held on 2nd Oct. which will be of 2nd & 3rd position holders of daily competition.

The Grand finale of the All India Devotional Song Competition will be held on 4th of October and Winners will be awarded with gold amounting to Rs. 3 lakh and a recording contract with Venus Records &Tapes Ltd, while the first and second runners up will get Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively.
