DC Jammu reviews implementation of amnesty scheme for domestic power users

Asks for giving wide publicity to cover maximum eligible consumers

Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa today chaired a meeting of district officers of JPDCL and reviewed implementation of Amnesty Scheme for domestic consumers.It was apprised that under this scheme consumers have to pay only the principal amount and all surcharges will be waived off  on the unpaid bills till ending March, 2022.. Besides, a consumer can pay the basic principal amount in a maximum 12 monthly installments.

The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the concerned to give wide publicity to the scheme through different mediums  encourage the domestic consumers eligible for the amnesty to take advantage of this scheme. 

The DC also directed other district and block officers to facilitate the smooth implementation of consumer friendly amnesty schemes across the district.ADC (ADM), Satish Sharma; ACD, Preeti Sharma;  DPO, Urvi Singh; SDMs along with senior officers from the concerned department were present in the meeting.
