DC Reasi presides over weekly Block Diwas at Block Hq Pouni

Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Babila Rakhwal today visited Block Pouni and listened to public issues and demands at the weekly Block Diwas programme.During the block Diwas, PRIs and prominent citizens raised their issues regarding PWD, PMGSY Roads, PDD, School Education, Monkey menace and sought upgradation of PHC Pouni  and meeting  shortage of lectures in GHHS Pouni.

District Officers apprised the participants regarding various steps taken by their departments in solving their issues.The DDC exhorted upon the general public and their representative to work in tandem with the line department for effective execution and monitoring of the schemes in the larger public interest.

Further, she added that PRIs shall focus on sanitary needs of their panchayats by constructing Soakage/Compost pits under MGNREGA and Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen. She also appreciated the efforts of the Women Self Help Group for the success of the DOGRA Hut in Panchayat Kottian.The Block Diwas was attended by DDC Councillor Reeta Sharma, ACD Reasi, Dr. Anirudh Rai, CHO, Tehsildar, BDO and a large number of PRI members of Block Pouni.

 While interacting with the PRIs as well as the general public of the area, the DC said that such platforms enable the District administration to know the   problems being faced by the people. She asked the officers to inform the people about income generating and beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and UT Government.
