Ayushmann Khurrana never misses a chance to amuse his fans in unique ways. He has always chosen unique concept films and once again the actor is all set to hit the theatres with another non-conventional film. Titled ‘Doctor G’, it is all set to be released worldwide on October 14. He took another topic that is not only untouched but with his signature style, he had promised the audience to be entertained with a message.
He brings up the ‘male touch’ throughout his time. In his latest movie, he plays a doctor who is sort of stranded in the gynaecology section. Discussing the trailer in detail, as we already told you, the film is based on the uneasiness of female patients who have been appointed to the male gynae. When it comes to gynaecology, Uday Gupta from Ayushmann recognises that women don't feel comfortable with male doctors. The character Dr. Nadini, played by Shefali Shah, serves to disassociate the audience and him from this idea.
Dr Nandini wants him to stop being so masculine and start treating his role as a doctor seriously. Doctor G is centred on Dr. Uday's uneasy interaction with female physiology. Sheeba Chaddha also adds to the humour and quirkiness of this story. What a lively group they make. There's also Rakul Preet Singh to add some glitz to the movie. Rakul plays the role of Dr Fatima, Ayushmann’s fellow classmate, and love interest.
Be it story or direction, the makers have left no stone unturned to teach the audience in a perfect way. And Ayushmann has always been a fan’s favourite when it comes to unusual concept-based films. Coming to the credits, Doctor G has been directed by Anubhuti Kashyap where the story has been written by Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh, and the screenplay by Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh, Anubhuti Kashyap.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann talked about the film and said in a statement, “Doctor G is a script that I fell in love with instantly because it is super fresh. It is an extremely unique and innovative concept that will make you laugh and also make you ponder. I’m excited to don the doctor’s coat for the first time in my career and also deliver a message in the process that will hopefully speak directly to your hearts.”
And after watching the trailer, it seems like fans are also super curious about the release of the film, which is slated to be released on October 14. The film has also been backed by Junglee Pictures.
