The Director Urban Local Bodies (ULB) Mathoora Masoom Thursday inaugurated the Solar tree at Nishat Park in Bandipora.The solar tree is unique and first of its kind to add to the beautification of the park and town.The inaugural ceremony was attended by President MC Bandipora, Basharat Hussain Najar; ADDC Bandipora, Afsar Ali khan; Joint Director Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad; EO MC Bandipora, Wali Mohammad and other senior officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Director ULB said that MCB has taken up many works to meet the needs of the general public and beautify the town.She said many works including Childrens Park, Marriage Hall and Car parking besides the beautification works are in progress for the development of Bandipora.
She said, along with construction of new assets, efforts are on to beautify the already functional assets in order to maintain their functionality.Complementing the beauty of Bandipora, JDP Imtiyaz Ahmad said that the District Administration is committed to maintain and enhance the beauty of Bandipora.
He said many innovative projects are near completion by joint collaboration of District Administration, ULB and MC Bandipora and solar tree was one among them.President, MC Bandipora said that installation of solar tree was a dream which came true by the efforts of District Administration and MCB.
