District Development Commissioner, Inder Jeet today reviewed the implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBPP) scheme, here at a meeting.The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Madan Lal; District Social Welfare Officer, Mohinderpaul; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Shamim un Nissa Bhatti; Chief Education Officer, Bishamber Das;   CDPO, Adil Shabir; CDPO, Haveli, CDPO Mendhar, TSWO, besides other concerned officers.

The meeting discussed different components of the scheme envisaging educational parameters, dropout ratio, nutritional indexes, skill and leadership development etc among the women.The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to expend the funds that have been released by the government under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme. 

“Spread maximum awareness under the ambit of BBBP Scheme in the district and encourage girl children to avail their right of education as well as right to good life and also encourage women to avail benefits of different schemes” he said.

Later, DC also discussed the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and directed the officers to take the campaign against the drugs to every noon and corner and make it more explicit. He asked them to perform their tasks diligently assigned for the promotion of month-long ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’.

He also asked the concerned officers to organise awareness programmes at panchayat level and send a strong message against the ill effects of drugs.
