District Administration Ramban today organized Weekly Block Diwas meetings at all designated locations across different blocks of the district.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Harbans Sharma presided over a Weekly Block Diwas meeting at Block headquarter Ramban and listened to the issues and grievances of the public.
A team of officers of district administration, BDCs, PRIs, and prominent citizens participated in the meeting.While congratulating the PRIs, officers, educational and other institutions for taking part in Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the ADC urged the Panchayat Institution representatives to reach out to every nook and corner of their areas to disseminate the message of Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
Responding to the demands and issues highlighted by the general public and PRIs, the ADC issued on-spot directions to concerned officers to resolve the same on priority basis. He said that several projects pertaining to youth engagement programs have been sanctioned and many more are in the pipeline.
He further highlighted the steps taken by the District Administration to provide basic facilities and quality services under different sectors . While highlighting the achievements and services available online mode, the ADC impressed upon the PRIs to sensitize the people about the different beneficiary and job-oriented schemes launched by the Government for the welfare of youth, poor and deprived sections.
The ADC resolved most of the demands on-the-spot and assured the people that remaining genuine demands would also be looked into and redressed on priority.
