Punjab Government Would Regulate the 25,000 Contractual Employees

The Punjab government has announced that they would regulate 25,000 contractual employees, or 8000 contractual employees in the Education Department for the stand to benefit, or 6000 will be regulated in the Health Department.

The Punjab government regulates contractual worker employees in different Departments. It is said in the report that the 25,000 contractual employees of the Punjab government who have completed their 10-year work tenure will be regularised by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). During the meeting, the report issued by the cabinet minister of regularisation was accepted by the council of ministers on Monday.

The first set of regularisation of contractual workers is first started by the Education department. In the Education Department 8000 Contractual workers would stand for benefit, 6000 workers in the Health Department will be regularised soon, from today onwards. 

The workers of transport and power will also be benefited and the employees who are regularised will receive a basic three years salary, as per the previous policy of the Punjab government. The official said that this policy is a one-time policy which means only those workers will be regularised who have completed their 10 year of service. In this policy,they have said that each department has their own special cadre or separate policy of Regularisation. And for this regularisation policy, the state government has to bear the expenditure of around 400 crores.
