Fitness challenge competition organised by Department of Sports, Government College for Women Udhampur, to commemorate National Sports Day concluded today on the college sports ground with the felicitation ceremony for the fittest students.

Over 150 college students competed in the fitness challenge competition organized from  August25, 2022 to  August 29, 2022.Three different fitness tests beep test- maximum levels achieved, Burpee test-maximum repetitions performed and maximum squats performed were administered on the participants.

 The top 5 fittest  participants were felicitated with the trophies.  Babli of semester-2nd was declared as the fittest girl of the college with a score of 235.3, Tisha Sumbria of sem.2nd stood second with a score of 194.2, Luxmi of semester 4th stood 3rd with a score of 163.3, Shivali Sharma of semester 2nd finished at number 4 with a score of 148.5 whereas Nazima of sem-4th stood 5th with a score of 134.6.

The challenge was administered by Dr Dinesh Physical Director under the supervision of Principal Prof Monika Sharma.Other dignitaries present during the felicitation ceremony were Prof Ashok HOD Department of Mathematics, DSW Sumita Rao, Rajinder Singh HOD Department of Punjabi, Yash Kumar Assistant professor Music.All the necessary arrangements were looked after by Md Yonous Sports Assistant.
