Arrangements for Independence Day, 2022 reviewed at Pulwama

The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama, Abdul Aziz Sheikh today chaired a meeting of District Officers and representatives of security agencies to review the arrangements for  75th Independence  Day, 2022 here. 

The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at District Police lines whereas similar functions would be held at Police lines Awantipora and at all Tehsil headquarters.It was given out in the meeting that contingents of JKP, CRPF, Home Guard, students of government and private schools will participate in the march past parade. 

Meanwhile employees who have done exemplary work will be awarded certificates of appreciation and prizes. Sheikh stressed upon the hoisting of National Flag at all prominent Govt Offices  particularly in all Panchayats. He also directed all District Officers to ensure the  participation of all Govt employees in the celebrations. 

The ADDC directed the officials to ensure adequate security arrangements, parking facilities and proper seating arrangements according to the guidelines issued by authorities at the venue, besides ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply. 

He also directed the Health department to setup adequate number of medical camps with proper staff, ambulance and Medicare facilities at the respective venues where Independence Day function will be held in the district. 

He directed the officials of the Municipal Committee to maintain cleanliness in and around District Police lines, roads, and streets in the town. 

He further called for close coordination among the concerned departments for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Independence Day. Additional Deputy Commissioners Pulwama and Tral, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE,  Pulwama; Senior civil, Army and Police officers besides other concerned were present at the meeting.
