Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a public meeting at Koti in Churah Vidhan Sabha area of Chamba district today announced opening of Block Development Office at Koti to facilitate the people of the area. Jai Ram Thakur said that the Prime Minister in his ‘Man Ki Baat’ programme yesterday made special reference of Minjar fair of Chamba, which shows his love towards the State and its people.
On the other hand, a leader of Punjab has such a little knowledge of Himachal that he recently claimed that Minjar was celebrated at Hamirpur and now the leaders of that party were trying to woo the voters of the State, he added.Chief Minister said that the world was adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but the able and strong leadership provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it was tackled efficiently.
He said that the Prime Minister not only took timely decision to check spread of this pandemic, but also motivated the scientists to develop indigenous vaccine against this deadly virus. He said that a biggest vaccination campaign was successfully launched in the country under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that opposition leaders even tried to mislead the people of the State regarding this vaccine.
He said that Himachal Pradesh was ranked first in administering of first and second dose of vaccine and its efforts were even appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government has always ensured that the lesser developed areas get special preference in matter of development.
He said that the Chamba district has been included in the list of aspirational districts by the union Government to ensure that it gets adequate funds for development. He said that the pervious State Government crossed all limits of taking loans to meet its unplanned and unmindful expenditure. He said that now the same leaders were questioning the present State Government of taking loans to meet the developmental requirements.
While taking a jibe at the Congress leaders, the Chief Minister said that the visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were not going well with them as they know that the Congress has no leaders of the stature of Narendra Modi. He said that the Congress leaders were also trying to take credit of construction of Atal tunnel Rohtang.
He said that there was a race going on with the Congress leaders to prove supremacy over one another. Now these leaders were claiming that they would discontinue all the schemes launched by the present State Government, he added.Chief Minister said that the previous State Government even divided the State on the colour of caps and on the other hand the present State Government ensured that no one must be victimized on political consideration.
He said that he uses State chopper for ensuring development whereas, the previous leadership used it to fight the cases in different courts. Deputy Speaker Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Dr. Hans Raj said that Churah area has witnessed unprecedented development in all spheres during the tenure of the present State Government.
He also thanked the Chief Minister for selecting aspirational district Chamba for starting the campaign to celebrate 75 years of existence of the State. He said that Congress leaders completely ignored Chamba district and Churah Vidhan Sabha area for several years together. He said that the Churah area today have all the major offices and credit of this goes to the benevolence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
MLAs Jia Lal Kapoor, District BJP President Jasbir Nagpal, District President Mahila Morcha Kanta Thakur, Vice Chairman SC/ST Corporation Jai Singh and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.
