Saiyami Kher who was earlier all ready to take part in the Ironman race in Netherlands in 2020 couldn’t attempt it because of the pandemic. The hardcore race comprises of a cumbersome mix of swimming, cycling and running. Popular actor Saiyami Kher, who is known for her fitness, has run many marathons in different parts of the world, wanted to push the envelope.

News is that this time around, the actor will be taking on the challenge of Ironman 70.3 race in New Zealand and has already started her training for it! Saiyami is a total health freak. She loves to work out and keep herself fit in all ways possible - be it through the gym, playing an outdoor sport, swimming, eating healthy or even general lifestyle choices.

Saiyami said, “I have always set out fitness goals for myself. The full marathon (42kms) was ticked off the bucket list but the next goal was the Ironman. I was completely ready for it and had prepared really hard for the race in 2020 in the Netherlands. I was really disappointed I couldn’t do it then. Mentally it’s very challenging to keep yourself motivated without knowing when the race will take place.

Thankfully now that things are better I am aiming to do it in New Zealand later this year. I have back to back work happening so it’s even more challenging to find time to train but so far I am on track!” Milind Soman is the only other actor who has completed the Ironman and Saiyami wishes she can be next. Meanwhile on the work front, Saiyami will next be seen in R Balki’s upcoming sports drama film, 'Ghoomer' co-starring Abhishek Bachchan.
