A video of a policeman's brutality towards an elderly man has surfaced all over social media. The incident happened at Jabalpur railway station in Madhya Pradesh. It is being said that a person was abusing the elderly about something, about which the latter complained to the policeman standing on the platform. And it all occurred after this. From the reports, it has been established that the policeman beat up the old man badly with kicks, punches, and belts.

The policeman has been identified as Constable Anant Sharma. He is posted at Laur police station in Rewa. As soon as the video was confirmed, SP Navneet Bhasin suspended him. It can be seen in the video that first the policeman pushes the elderly man and slams him on the platform. Then, he runs his hand over him. Then he put his feet while wearing shoes on the victim's face. The heart-wrenching video has been making the rounds all over the internet. Netizens are expressing their anger and fuming over the policeman.

The brutality of the police does not end here. After doing all this, the policeman grabs both the legs of the elderly and drags them to another platform, where he hangs half of the body on the back towards the railway line. Then he spread both his legs and hit him with his feet on his private part.

Video Made By A Passenger

During this heinous incident, a passenger sitting on the train made a video of it. The GRP says that after the video surfaced, the vendors were interviewed at the station, where they confirmed the incident, which is said to have happened on Thursday. 

What Has Happened?

The victim was identified with the help of video footage. He said that his name is Gopal Prasad. They are residents of Kareli, District Narsinghpur. The old man said that a person was abusing him and complained to the police (killer). Then he started beating Gopal.
