The Zilla Sainik Welfare Office Bandipora in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora on Thursday organised a day long awareness programme cum workshop on Agnipath scheme at Mini Secretariat, here.The programme was attended by District Programme Officer (DPO) Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ZSWO Kashmir Cdr Girdhari Lal, ARO Kahsmir and Leh Col G Suresh, officers from Zila Sainik Welfare, district administration and youth from different parts of the district.

The programme was organised to raise awareness among youth regarding Agnipath scheme.The workshop focused on highlighting the written test, physical examination and other salient features of the Agnipath scheme.The speakers on the occasion highlighted the significance of the Agnipath scheme.They also urged  the youth to take part in the process of Agnipath scheme to contribute in nation building.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Bandipora said that the Agnipath scheme will  provide opportunity for youth to  serve in the armed forces and urged the youth to take benefits from youth oriented schemes of government.The officials informed that the online registration for Agnipath shall remain open upto 03 August 2022.
