Power@2047 : Mega event under ‘Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya’ held at Pulwama

As part of 75 years of Indian Independence, the District Administration Pulwama today organised a mega event on ‘Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya’, Power@2047 under the aegis of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav", at Auditorium of Government Boys Degree College, Pulwama.

Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Pulwama, Syed Bari Andrabi presided over the function. Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Superintendent Engineer O&M (JKPDCL) Pulwama, Ex. Engineer JKPDCL, Teachers and students of different colleges were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DDC appreciated NHPC and JKPDCL for their coordinated efforts to provide uninterrupted power supply to the people of the District. He appealed to the people to make judicious use of electricity and pay their electricity bills on time.

He said, the power scenario of Jammu and Kashmir underwent dramatic change wherein universalization of power availability has been ensured.During the programme, documentaries based on universal household electrification, village electrification, strengthening of distribution system, testimonials of beneficiaries availing electrification schemes, film on capacity addition, ‘One Nation One Grid’ and Renewable Energy were screened.

Nukkad Natak and Cultural items spreading awareness on the theme of saving electricity, online bill payment, grievance redressal system were also presented during the function.
