Heartthrob and Liger actor Vijay Deverakonda, who was recently spotted at the trailer launch with Ananya Panday and the team, was trolled for wearing slippers to the event. He was trolled by none other than Ranveer Singh. It happened because Vijay was dressed in a casual look with slippers as he joined co-star Ananya Panday and others at the event on Friday. Now, his stylist Harmann Kaur, has shared why he wore chappals worth ₹199 to the event.
The reason she gave for this look was that Vijay wanted to attend the event in a subtle look. Deverakonda’s stylist said that she was all prepped to make it really top-notch cool until Vijay called her one day and said let’s be closest to the character and keep a very underdog look. She then added that he specifically asked me for the basic chappals and, initially, she was a little hesitant but she also always trust Vijay’s dressing-up ideas as she knew he ended up making it the talk of the country.
Harmann went on to add, "I was constantly nervous as the event was on a big scale, especially in Mumbai, and walking in wearing chappals worth ₹199 was really brave of Vijay but I'm glad it was received with a lot of love."
And we can all say that it did happen. People loved his simple and casual look. He broke the headlines for his desirable personality in the upcoming film Liger.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh compares Vijay Deverakonda with Dhoom actor John Abraham. Not only this, he commented on Vijay's look and said, “Bhai ka style dekho, aise lag raha hai, ye mere trailer launch pe aaya hai ya main inke trailer launch pe aaya hu (Look at brother's style, it looks like he has come to my trailer launch instead of me coming to his trailer launch).'”
Now discussing Vijay’s upcoming film Liger, the film has been directed by Puri Jagannadh and is all set to hit theatres on August 25, 2022.
