A heinous crime has been making the headlines. Sub-inspector Sandhya Topno was killed on the job in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Wednesday, just one day after Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Singh was killed by a truck on Tuesday while looking into illegal stone mining in Nuh, Haryana. The pickup van, believed to be bringing in contraband animals, killed the female sub-inspector, Sandhya Topno.
Incident Happened During Vehicle Checking At 3 A.M.
It is being said that the lady Sub Inspector, Sandhya Topno, was checking the vehicles on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, a pickup van was passing by. He signalled the drivers to stop. But the driver accelerated the vehicle. On sight, he drove the vehicle over the female sub-inspector. Sandhya Topno could not understand anything. The policemen present on the spot also remained silent for a while. The policemen immediately took Sandhya Topan to the hospital. But she died on the way to the hospital.
Who was Sandhya Topno ?
It is said that the lady sub-inspector Sandhya Topno was posted as in charge in Tupudana OP of Ranchi. There is anger among the police personnel due to this murder. The Ranchi SSP said that the police have arrested the accused driver. His vehicle has also been seized.

The SSP also said that the driver of the vehicle fled after the incident. Later, the policemen chased him and arrested him. This audacious incident happened at around 3 am on Wednesday. According to the police, the driver of the vehicle was carrying a vehicle laden with animals. The police are probing how many hand cattle smugglers are involved in this case. It was said that Sandhya Topno was a sub-inspector of the 2018 batch.
Vehicle Seized
The Ranchi SSP said that the vehicle from which the woman sub-inspector Sandhya Topno, was crushed by the police has been seized by the police. The accused driver has also been arrested.
