After the comments made by Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad, the ruckus is not taking its name to stop. Now the news is from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, where the Muslim community is protesting by keeping shops closed. The demonstration turned violent on Friday afternoon. Curfew has been implemented in Ranchi for the time being. People have been appealing to stay in homes.
Stones were pelted on the Cops :
According to reports, people tried to break the barricading done by the police-administration at various places on the main road. When the police administration tried to stop them, they started pelting stones on the police force itself.
Police fired ten rounds of air to disperse the crowd:
Seeing the mob getting furious, the police fired ten rounds in the air under compulsion. There are also reports of several police personnel getting injured in the clash between the police-protesters. It is being said that the protesters kept on creating nuisance in the main road. The entire main road of Ranchi was vandalised. There was also a fierce demonstration around the Hanuman temple.
DIG exerted situation is a bit tense but under control:
Ranchi DIG Anish Gupta said, “The situation is a bit tense but under control. We are making every effort from our side. Heavy security deployment has been available, as senior officials are also present on the spot to disperse the crowd.
