Recently, the rumours were making rounds on the internet that actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul, who have been dating for a couple of years, would soon tie the knot. The duo has not confirmed whether they will be stepping into a new phase. But now Athiya took to her social media and broke the silence on the same. Reacting to the recent speculations about the couple’s wedding reportedly taking place in the next three months, Athiya wrote on her IG stories, “I hope I’m invited to the wedding that’s taking place in 3 months. Lol.”
Athiya and Rahul recently travelled to Munich together, where Rahul underwent surgery. Over the weekend, several reports claimed that Athiya and KL Rahul would tie the knot soon, most likely within the next few months.
Meanwhile, a couple of months ago, Athiya's brother and actor Ahan Shetty spoke about the rumoured wedding in an interview with a news portal. The Tadap actor said, "As far as the wedding is concerned, there are no arrangements being made. There is no such ceremony, these are all rumours. When there is no wedding, how can we give you a date?"

When asked by father Suneil Shetty, the actor at an event earlier this year, Hera Pheri actor told news agency, "She is a daughter, she will get married sometime. I'd want my son also to get married. The sooner the better! But it's their choice. As far as Rahul is concerned, I love the boy. It's for them to decide what they want to do, because times have changed. I'd like them to take the decision. My blessings are always there."
Speaking of the couple, they are quite active on social media and share pictures with each other.
