Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) observed the 8th International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2022 with great enthusiasm by organizing yoga sessions and seminars at its various project sites.
On the directions of Sh. Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman, BBMB, a yoga session was organized at 6.30 am today under the guidance of eminent yoga instructor Dr. Baljeet Singh at BBMB Rest House, Sector 35-B, Chandigarh wherein along with Hon'ble Chairman BBMB, Er. Harminder Singh Chugh Member (Power), Sh. J.S. Kahlon FA&CAO, Sh. Ajay Sharma Special Secretary and other senior officers and employees also participated.
On this occasion, Sh. Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman BBMB said that Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition, it symbolizes unity of mind and body; establishes a perfect harmony between man & nature and is also supposed to provide a holistic approach to health and well-being.
Er. Rahul Kansal, Joint Secretary/Public Relation informed that Apart from Yoga sessions, seminars were also delivered by yoga instructors in Board Secretariat as well as in SLDC Complex offices of BBMB, Chandigarh to spread awareness about the importance of Yoga and Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) among the officers and employees of the said both offices.
Er. B.S. Sinhmar Director-HRD, who organized the programme, said that Yoga is not just about exercises but it is a science which is regarding the union of oneness with the universe. On this occasion Er. B.S. Sabharwal Chief Engineer, Er. HS Manocha Director-Security, Er. N.K. Sharma Director-Power Regulation, Er. Sawinder Singh Dy. Chief Engineer, Er. I.S. Bajwa SE, Sh. S.P. Rana Dy. CAO & other officers/employees of BBMB were also present.
