A great piece of news for all the Game of Thrones fans. As GOT buffs may soon get to see Kit Harington return as fan-favourite Jon Snow in an upcoming spinoff based on the character’s journey following the end of the popular show, the final episode of which had 13 million viewers on HBO alone.
In the final season of "Game of Thrones," Snow discovers his actual identity and the possibility of being a successor to the Iron Throne. He is exiled from Westeros at the end of the series, riding into the Haunted Forest with Ghost and the Wildlings to start a new life.
Harington has starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, co-starring in 2021's Eternals, after concluding his work on Game of Thrones for eight seasons. He also just starred in the live staging of Henry V at the National Theatre. On Game of Thrones, the actor was recognised for enduring some of the show's most difficult filming, including the infamous 11-week winter night shoots in Northern Ireland during the final season.
Meanwhile, apart from the Jon Snow sequel series, HBO is working on 'Thrones' spin-off “House of the Dragon,” which is set 200 years before the original series, “Tales of Dunk and Egg,” “10,000 Ships,” “9 Voyages,” “Flea Bottom” and an animated series. "House of the Dragon" is scheduled to premiere on August 21.
