As part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet flagged off a bicycle rally from DC office Poonch to imbibe the spirit of Nationalism among youth and promote the fit India and fit Poonch movement.
The rally culminated at Shaheed Manjeet Singh Boys Higher Secondary School Poonch.The Rally was organised by Youth Services & Sports Office district Poonch.District Youth & Sports Officer, Poonch, Mohd. Qasim, ZPEO Poonch, Narinder Singh, ZPEO Kanuyian, Jatinder Singh, PET. Pawan Kumar, Vijay Kumar besides other concerned officers/officials were present on the event.
While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the objective of the rally was to encourage youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to channelize their energies in a better way. He urged the youth to continue cycling and motivate others to adopt cycling.
As many as 131 boys and girls from different sports Club, Taekondo Students and school students participated in the rally.Through this rally a message of brotherhood, Nationalism and to popularize usage of bicycle to solve the dual issue of global warming and unhealthy lifestyle in conveyed.
