The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed today  chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements put in place by various departments at Transit Camp Sumbal for  shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2022.

The meeting was informed that administration has put in place majority of necessary facilities for SANJY-2022 at transit camp sumbal for smooth conduct of yatra. Other facilities to be made available for smooth conduct are also being put in place within a  weeks time. 

The DC reviewed department and work wise arrangements and directed the concerned to complete all pending works within a period of weeks time, well before the commencement of yatra.

He also stressed for immediate installation of hoardings and signages for the smooth movement of pilgrims.  He also reviewed installations of stalls by various departments. Dr. Owais stressed on maintaining cleanliness  and directed the concerned to take up sanitation work properly. 

He was briefed on the occasion that all CSCs, lighting, land levelling, water supply, accommodation and other works have been completed. The DC laid stress on provisions of cleanliness, sanitation hygiene, and medical facilities at transit camp.

The  meeting was attended by District Programme Officer ICDS( Nodal Officer Yatra) Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Syed Altaf Hussain Mosavi, SDM Sumbal Dr. Bashir Ahmad,  District Information Officer Bandipora Showkat Ahmad, Ex En. PDD, R& B and other concerned officers and officials.
