A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises, SAS Nagar (DBEE, SAS Nagar) and SRP US LOGISTICS PVT. LTD. On behalf of DBEE Mr. Amit Talwar Deputy Commissioner signed the MoU.Disclosing this in a press communique Mr. Harbans Singh SDM, SAS Nagar said that this MoU will be valid for a period of one year. 

Elaborating upon the conditions of the MoU Mr. Singh said that every year SRP will absorb minimum 1000 candidates, registered with DBEE, SAS Nagar, by providing them Private Jobs in house or in external organizations. 

Likewise it will organize various workshops to develop entrepreneurial skills among the youth registered with DBEE, SAS Nagar also will conduct regular seminars/webinars/expert talks to develop required skills among the youth registered with DBEE, SAS Nagar. 

Assistance will be provided in developing interview skills, communications skills and soft skills among the youth of SAS Nagar District. SDM further disclosed that as per terms of MoU, SRP US LOGISTICS PVT. LTD will also organize Placement Camps/Fairs for interviews for the placement of the youth registered with DBEE, SAS Nagar. 

It will also arrange batch wise visit of youth registered with DBEE, SAS Nagar to its office to understand the work culture, environment & real time working of staff. It will provide them real time experience of working in offices. He said that no party shall charge any kind of fees/commission/charges, etc. for the services given this MoU from each other.

Mr. Singh said that yesterday, DC Mr. Amit Talwar visited the office of SRP which is a US based Logistics company with near about 1100 employees. SRP’s office is based in Mohali (Industrial Area).Mr. Amit, interacted with the staff. He handed over the appointment letters to the newly selected 13 candidates.

 Mr. Talwar assured every kind of other support to SRP for this noble cause for the betterment of the society. The minimum salary that will be provided in this scheme will be 20,000 Rs to 50,000 Rs.per month
