Department of Animal Husbandry Kishtwar today organised an Awareness-cum-Treatment Camp under Special Central Assistance to Scheduled Caste Sub Plan(SCA to SCSP) here at Jodhanagar Palmar.A large number of animal breeders, general Public, Panches and Sarpanches participated in the camp.Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen was the main campaigner of the event accompanied by Dr. Sajad Ahmed (VAS) and other Veterinary staff of the area.Chairperson, Block Development Council Palmar, was the Chief Guest of the occasion.The CAHO Kishtwar educated the local Public about schemes of Department like IDDS, ITED, IPDP, KCC, Livestock Insurance etc and Veterinary services provided by the Department.
The People from the Scheduled Caste Community were given free of cost medicines, mineral mixtures, calcium supplements, Dewormers in addition to vaccination and the general treatment of livestock order to boost the local milk production. The people were asked to co-operate & take benefits of different schemes of the Department.Speaking on the occasion, BDC Chairperson Palmar appreciated the efforts put forth by the Department in uplifting the socio-economic status of the public and thanked Dr. S. Sen (CAHO Kishtwar) for organizing Awareness cum Treatment Camp at Jodhnagar Palmar. He further assured the Department of full co-operation for achieving the benefits extended under different schemes by the Department & requested to hold such camps in all Panchayats of Palmar Block.
