Jai Inder Kaur, daughter of former CM Captain Amarinder Singh and President of Women Wing of Punjab Jat Mahasabha today hosted women medal winners from Punjabi University who had recently brought laurels to Punjab in the recently held Khelo India University Games at Bangalore.Punjabi University had won total 31 medals in these games, from which majority were won by girls.Congratulating the young players on their victory Jai Inder Kaur said, "What you girls have achieved in such a young age is amazing and is inspiring for our youth. Only your hardwork, diligence and the teachings of your coaches has made this feat possible and we all are very proud of you. My mother has always been a big advocate of women empowerment and it's so nice to see our girls performing so well at the national level. I also wish all of you a very best of luck for all your future games and tournaments."

Jai Inder Kaur was hosting around 24 girls and their coaches from Punjabi University for tea at her MotiBagh Palace residence. The Punjabi University students have won medals in Fencing, Athletics, Judo, Archery, Shooting, among others.Jai Inder Kaur also heard the demands of players regarding sponsorship, diet, support from government for national tournaments and assured them of all possible help from her side.Thanking Jai Inder Kaur for hosting and appreciating the players Gurusharan Kaur Randhawa, Director Sports from Punjabi University Patiala said, "We are very thankful to Jai Inder Kaur ma'am for meeting with us and giving moral boost to the students."Expressing her gratitude archer Parneet Kaur, winner of 2 gold and 1 silver medal in compound category at Asia Cup said, "It was such a nice experience meeting with Jai Inder Kaur Ji, she is such a nice and humple person and her words of appreciation filled us all with joy."

Recalling that MP Patiala Preneet Kaur ji has also appreciated her earlier she told that, "Last year when I won a Gold medal in World Archery Youth Champion, Madam Preneet Kaur has called me then also and had congratulated me on my win. The family has always supported budding sportspersons and I'm grateful to them."The players who attended the function were Tanveer Kaur, Simarjeet Singh, Kiranjot Kaur, Simarndeep Kaur, who won Gold in 400m relay setting a national record, Simranjeet Kaur, Lagan Jindal, Ananya and Pavneet Kaur who had won team bronze in Fencing, Parneet Kaur (Archery), Manpreet Kaur (Judo), Sujata, Manpreet Kaur, Prabhjot Kaur, Preetinder Kaur who won team gold in Archery, Prabhjot (Gold, Archery), Anushika, Sehajpreet Kaur, Tanisha, Amandeep Kaur (Silver, Recurve Archery), Inshneet Aulakh (Shooting Gold), Arshdeep Kaur (Silver, Shooting), Kritika Sharma (Silver, shooting) and Asees Chhina (Skeet Shooting Gold).
