Prime Minister Modi will participate in a special workshop to mark the 2566th birth anniversary of Lord Buddha there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Nepal today. He will visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. Also will hold a meeting with Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. On the occasion of Buddha Purnima where he was accorded a grand welcome by the Prime Minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba. PM Modi will participate in the ceremony organised to lay the foundation stone of Buddhist Culture and Heritage Centre on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. According to sources, the PM will be in Nepal till 3.30 pm. Excitement among the people of Nepal: PM Modi PM Modi, who reached Nepal on a one-day visit, tweeted and said ecpressed happiness to be among the people. During this, he thanked the Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba for the grand welcome. PM Modi reaches Mahamaya temple Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Lumbini. PM Modi, who reached Lumbini on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, paid obeisance to Mayadevi. During this, Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife were present with PM Modi. PM Modi tweeted -”Beginning the Nepal visit with prayers at the sacred Maya Devi Temple, Lumbini.” Sher Bahadur Deuba welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Lumbini, Nepal. Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba welcomed Modi.
