As part of the celebration of "Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav" NSS Unit Government Degree College, Chenani, today conducted door to door awareness campaign regarding Health, Hygiene & Sanitation under the aegis of ‘PRAYATNA’.During the camping, the students interacted with the locals and sensitized them about the cleanliness and solid waste management, building on local knowledge and promoting positive traditional practices of sanitation. They exhorted on developing new strategies and tools to improve key hygiene behaviours, while empowering communities to take their health and well-being into their own hands.

Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College urged that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India and by the participation of the public country-wide, the dream of a ‘Clean India’ once seen by Mahatma Gandhi can be realized in its true sense. She appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers for their continuous campaigns to influence people by encouraging them to adopt simple healthy habits that can prevent illnesses.The event was conducted under the guidance of Mir Hafeez, Sunil Kumar, NSS Program Officer and Pardeep Kumar.
