Patiala , 30 Apr 2022

The situation in Patiala is overheated.

CM Mann called the incident unfortunate and vowed his government would not let anyone create disturbance in the state..

A violent clash between Shiv Sainik and Khalistan supporters over the issue of Khalistan has intensified the summers in Patiala, even of newly elected CM Bhagwant Mann. This face-off lasted for about 4 hours. But the matter still remains serious. Seeing the situation, the Punjab government has now come into action. CM Bhagwant Mann transferred IG, SSP and SP of Patiala range and internet services have also been suspended in Patiala.

Government is taking all necessary steps, including confidence-building measures, to create harmony among the residents - various visuals depicting the CM on social media platforms.

For your information, let us tell you that Mukhwinder Singh Chinna has been made the new IG of Patiala, while Deepak Parik has been made SSP and Wazir Singh has been made SP. Mobile internet services have been temporarily suspended in Patiala from 9:30 am to 6 pm. Let us tell you that on Friday, swords were waved on the streets of the city for about four hours. In protest against this, some Hindu organisations have called for Patiala Bandh on Saturday.

What happened-

Sikh for Justice chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had announced Friday to celebrate the foundation day of Khalistan a few days ago. In response to this, Shiv Sena's state working president Harish Singla had announced to take out Khalistan Murdabad March on Friday after holding a press conference.Violent clashes broke out between Shiv Sainik and Khalistan supporters over the issue of Khalistan. This process started at around 11 am on Friday and went on till three in the afternoon.

The police brought the situation under control by barely dispersing both sides. The question is that for the last one week, there was a possibility of people from both sides facing the issue of Khalistan in the city on Friday, then why did the police not make concrete arrangements to deal with this situation, the top cops were charged and they were transferred.

Harish Singla assault

Former working president Harish Singla, expelled from Shiv-Sena Punjab, was arrested on Friday evening. Earlier, Harish Singla, who had come to attend a meeting of Hindu organisations at Shri Kali Mata Temple, was assaulted. Harish Singla saved his life by running away but the activists of Hindu organisations hurled bricks at Harish Singla's car. The windows of the car were also broken.

Shiv-Sena expelled Harish Singla from the party-

According to the India Today report, Shiv-Sena issued a statement saying that Punjab Shiv Sena working president Harish Singla has been expelled from the party. Singla had led a rally in Patiala which turned violent. Some activists have also been suspended for their alleged role in the clash.
