A piece of very tragic news has been headlined which reads that veteran film and TV actor Salim Ghouse passed away on Thursday in Mumbai. The reason behind his demise came out that the actor who was 70 years old had suffered from a cardiac arrest. Further, the last rites of the actor were performed early on Thursday morning. The news has been confirmed by Salim Ghouse’s wife Anita Salim.
She informed that the vet actor experienced pain in his chest on Wednesday night and the family took him to Kokilaben Hospital. But he couldn't survive and passed away on Thursday morning.His wife gave a statement and said, “Salim hated grieving and wanted life to go on. He didn’t suffer, he wouldn’t have liked being dependent on anyone. He was a man with a lot of self-respect. He was a multifaceted actor, a martial artist, an actor, a director, and a lovely chef in the kitchen.”
Salim Ghouse also played several roles, which were loved by the audience. Rama, Krishna, Tipu Sultan in Shyam Benegal's TV series Bharat Ek Khoj were some of them. When it comes to films, Salim was part of Manthan, Kalyug, Chakra, Saaransh, Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho, Trikal, Aghaat, Drohi, Thiruda Thiruda, Sardari Begum, Koyla, Soldier, Aks, Vettaikaaran Well Done Abba & Kaa, and others. Besides being a noted actor, he was also a voice-over artist, who had dubbed for films like The Lion King and 300.Salim was a graduate of FTII Pune. During his last years, the veteran actor was busy with his theatre work in Mumbai.
