Ludhiana West MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi today directed the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana officials to ensure that all the embankments of Budha Nullah are strengthened and beautified. He also directed the officials to speed up cleaning of Budha Nullah for transforming it into Budha Dariya so that it benefits the area residents.Accompanied by senior MC officials, MLA Gogi today visited the Gopal Nagar area of city and issued necessary instructions to the staff.
While speaking to media persons on the occasion, Gogi said that around 8-km stretch of Budha Nullah passes through his Ludhiana West constituency. He said that people of this constituency have reposed their faith in him and assured that he would work wholeheartedly for their welfare. He said that to ensure solid waste does not falls into the Nullah, static compactors are being installed along the Nullah. He said that for safety purposes, iron mesh is being installed along the Nullah.On this occasion, he also directed the MC officials to ensure that all bridges on the Budha Nullah are strengthened and iron mesh is installed on their boundary.
