Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Satish Sharma today reviewed the arrangements regarding the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri Festival, here at DC Office.Chairing the meeting, the ADC Jammu discussed the necessary arrangements required and issued on the spot directions to the officials of the concerned departments.

The arrangements for Security, Traffic regulation were discussed, while Jal Shakti, JKPDCL, Municipality, Chief Medical Officer, PWD, Floriculture, Fire Services, Tourism Department departments were asked to make available their services well in time.The ADC issued directions to ensure uninterrupted power supply/water supply, laying of Joint Naka by Police and Volunteers of the Temple management for the hassle free movement of the pilgrims at the temples.It was decided in the meeting that mobile toilet vans, fire tender and an ambulance with Medical Staff shall be stationed at the temples which witness huge rush of devotees.The Traffic Department was directed to ensure effective regulation, while the Police department was asked to ensure foolproof security arrangements around the temples.Regarding the Shobha Yatra, the ADC asked the representatives of religious organizations to ensure adherence to Covid-19 protocol like maintaining of the distance, use of hand sanitizers and face masks. He also asked the officers of line departments to ensure all necessary arrangements on designated routes before the start of the Shoba Yatra.SP North Kulbir Handa; Joint Director Information Namrita Dogra; ACG Rakesh Dubey besides senior officers from Traffic, Security, Jal Shakti, Tourism, Floriculture, Health along with representatives of religious organizations were also present at the meeting.
