Mohali/Dera Bassi , 06 Feb 2022

Last updated on: Feb 06, 2022, 00:00 IST

February 20 will prove to be a historic day for Punjab. It will be a day of change. This time the people of Punjab will write a new history and a new story. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Minister candidate Bhagwant Mann expressed these thoughts while addressing the people during his election campaign under 'Mission Punjab 2022'.

On Sunday, Bhagwant Mann campaigned in favour of AAP candidates in Mohali (SAS Nagar) and Dera Bassi assembly constituencies. Mann reached Balongi Market, 3B2 Market, Sector 79, Phase 11 Market and Airport Road of Mohali constituency and urged the people to cast their vote in favour of AAP candidate Kulwant Singh. In Dera Bassi assembly seat Mann visited Dussehra Ground in Lohgarh Zirakpur, Dera Bassi Ramleela Ground and Lalru Mandi, and appealed the people there to Support AAP candidate Kuljeet Singh Randhawa. On this occasion, along with Mann, AAP candidate Kulwant Singh from SAS Nagar and Kuljit Singh Randhawa, AAP candidate from Dera Bassi, many state level and local leaders of the party and a large number of AAP workers were present. People welcomed Mann enthusiastically with flowers and garlands and Bhagwant Mann thanked them for their love and support.

Addressing the people, Mann said, “This fight is a fight to save Punjab, to eliminate corruption and mafia spread in Punjab politics, to get the youth out of the clutches of drugs and to give them good education and employment. This fight is a fight to save the farmers of Punjab and make them prosperous. For the betterment of Punjab, we have to win this battle at any cost. The responsibility of this historic battle of Punjab is in your hands till February 20. After that all the responsibility of Punjab and the people of Punjab will be ours.”Mann said that today corruption and mafia have taken roots in the governance system of Punjab. The leaders of traditional parties have looted Punjab and are responsible for its current poor condition. The nexus between drug mafia and politicians has trapped and destroyed the youth. Due to corruption and mafia, the treasury of Punjab is empty and the state government has a debt of more than three lakh crores, but mafia was flourishing and getting richer. We will stop the leakage in government and public money to use this money for the public. We will fill the treasury of Punjab by eliminating corruption and mafia and make Punjab government debt-free. To end dirty politics, corruption and mafia, this time give chance to Aam Aadmi Party and press the ‘Jharoo’ button on 20th.
