A four days ‘Dastaq’ digital training programme for unemployed youth of the district, concluded today at the meeting hall of Mini-Secretariat Arhama, here.‘Dastaq’ is first of its kind programme in Shopian, and witnessed participation of a large number of unemployed youth of the district to get knowledge about schemes in various departments.The training programme was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said a web portal namely Dastaq.in has been designed and put into the public sphere by District Administration which shall act as a single window platform for youth to get complete information about schemes/units of various departments and select their preferred sector to generate employment for themselves as well as for others.

He said that they now need not to visit from office to office to know about the benefit of schemes but can easily apply through this online portal to have firsthand knowledge about various schemes of the government to establish their own business units to generate employment for themselves and others.The DDC motivated participants to establish their own business units to stand on their own legs to earn and live a prosperous life.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani said that now they need not to visit in person to any of the government offices to put an end to RedTapism, Nepotism, Favouritism and corruption but just need to login online portal Dastaq.in where they can get all the information they require about various Centrally Sponsored and other Schemes.He said that the unemployed youth of the district can also apply at seven panchayats, nine blocks of the district also besides others through this online portal and get all the requisite information regarding the scheme.

Near about 500 unemployed youth of the district were imparted training till date and motivated to establish units to generate employment to live a luxurious life by availing of these schemes.Later, Appreciation certificates were also distributed among those who had performed well and earned a good profit and created employment for others also.The unemployed youth of the district thanked the District Administration Shopian for launching this online portal "Dastaq-e-Shopian" which made their life luxurious, thus got rid of bad habits and saved their life from the menace of drugs and other evils.Among others, Assistant Director, KVIC, Assistant Director Planning, and other concerned officers besides applicants of various sectors interested to establish employment units through Dastaq Portal attended the training programme.
