Today was the third day of 33rd Senior National Korfball championship which is organised by the Punjab Korfball Association at Polo ground Indoor Stadium. Today total 16 matches were played. In the first match J&K defeated Tamil nadu by the margin of two goals, the total score was 10:08, 10 Jammu and 8 Tamil Nadu. Second match was played between Haryana against Chhattisgarh, in which Haryana beat Chhattisgarh by 16 to 13 goals. Next match was played between Himachal Pradesh vs Karnataka and H.P won by 13 to 03 goals. Next match was Assam vs Tamil Nadu and Tamil Nadu beat Assam from 13 goals to 02 goals. In the next match H. P defeated M.P by 13 goals to 03 goals. Another match was played between West Bengal vs Rajasthan and Rajasthan overpower West Bengal by 06 goals to 05 goals. In the next match M. P defeated Karnataka by 05 goals to 04 goals. In the quarter finals Haryana defeated M.P by goal margin of 07 goals to 02 goals. The chief guest for the Session was IRS Narpinder Pal Singh Assistant Commissioner Patiala and Dr Rajneesh Gupta Principal Govt. Sr. Sec. School Pheelkhana Patiala. The guest of honour was Baba Bhupinder Singh ji, and Mr. Ashok Kumar and the dignitaries Olympian Tarlok Singh Sandhu, Mr. Pardeep Kumar, ITO, Mr. Harjinder Singh Saran ITO, Mr. Jasdeep Singh,Major. Rajpreet Aulakh, Dr. Jaspreet Singh, Prof. Amandeep Kaur,Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Dr. Amarpreet Singh were present at the occasion.In the first quarter finals Haryana defeated Madhya Pradesh by 9 goals to 03 goals. During second quater final H.P vs Telangaga, in which H. P emerged as winners from 09 to 07. The host Punjab defeated Tamil Nadhu by the margin of two goals, final score was 09 goals to 06 goals. Punjab booked the place in semi finals. In another quarter final Jammu defeated Kerala team by 09 goals to 08 goals, in extra time. In the last session, chief guest were Mr. Rajesh Mandora Councillor, Patiala and Mr. Harpal juneja, Social worker, these both were honoured by the Korfal Association of Punjab. Semifinals and Final will be played at Polo ground Indoor stadium.
