The Shiromani Akali Dal on Thursday appointed Karnail Singh Peermohammad as its General Secretary and Spokesperson in view of his commendable services to the party.It is pertinent to mention here that a day earlier Akali Stalwart Ranjit Singh Brahmpura rejoined SAD in the presence of Chief Patron Parkash Singh Badal and party President Sukhbir Singh Badal in which Karnail Singh Peermohammad along with many supporters also rejoined the party.
With this, speculations are being made that the party will now gain considerable strength in view of the forthcoming elections. Mainly, in the Majha region of Punjab.Peermohammad, has also served as the President of the Sikh Students Federation. Apart from this he also shows keen interest in Sikh Panthic affairs.
