Punjab Higher Education and Languages Minister Pargat Singh today handed over appointment letters to 22 Assistant Professors of the state Colleges.The Minister on the occasion said that with the issuance of these appointment letters, the court cases would be reduced. He further said that in the case of Ravi Sidhu the recruitment of Assistant Professors was also canceled but later their recruitment was upheld by the court due to which many court cases related to their recruitment are pending.Pargat Singh also pointed out that these non tainted assistant professors have got justice with the issuance of appointment letters. He also said that the selected candidates would be allotted stations as per the rules soon.The Secretary Higher Education Krishan Kumar was also present at the occasion.
