The Punjab Minister for Industries & Commerce S. Gurkirat Singh Kotli today awarded the final Certificates of Proficiency to 23 successful candidates of Boiler Operation Engineers Examination at Udyog Bhawan here in a brief ceremony.The successful candidates will now be able to operate high size boilers and also carry out self certification of boilers as per rules laid down by the state Govt.The Hon’ble Minister wished the candidates success in their future professional life. Boiler Operation Engineers Examination was conducted by Govt. of Punjab under Boiler Engineer Rules enacted by Govt. of India.
The examination was conducted to issue Certificates of Proficiency to the engineers working on boilers, for operating high size boilers.Applications were received from candidates belonging to different states. Written examination was conducted by Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh, a reputed institute in a professional & transparent manner. Candidates successful in written examination appeared in oral examination conducted by a Board of Examiners comprising of senior officers of the department and professionals from academic and industrial houses.
