The department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, AIIMS Bathinda, in collaboration with ELNEC India, successfully conducted a three day long ELNEC course from 16th to 18th November, 2021.The ELNEC project is a national education initiative to improve knowledge  and skills of nurses in palliative care and is a partnership between the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Washington, DC and the City of Hope. 

This course was a one-of-a-kind event that empowered 107 nurses by educating them on care of the terminally ill patients by renowned International and national faculty.The course was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) D. K. Singh, Honorable Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS Bathinda, Prof. (Dr.) Satish Gupta, Dean and Additional Medical Superintendent and Dr. Mayank Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, AIIMS  Bathinda. This course will go a long way in improving the quality of life of patients  suffering from cancer and other chronic life limiting illnesses.
