Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian today paid homage to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Minister of Education of India, on his birthday which is observed as National Education Day.The speakers mentioned the literary and journalistic services of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and his struggle for the freedom of the homeland & called him a true patriot. The event was attended by senior lecturers, master teachers and students of the school including Raghunath Verma.Jyoti Jamwal, Mukhtar Ahmed, Munir Hussain and Rashmi Sodhan spoke on educational and political services of the first Education Minister calling him the architect of the modern education system in India. They vowed to follow his footsteps and play their part in promotion of education in the Country.
