The District Administration Shopian today opened facility centers/ Nodal points across the district to facilitate access to land records under Land Records Information System (LRIS) ‘Apki Zameen, Apki Nigrani’ initiative of the government.These facility centers/ Nodal points were opened at SDM Office, Zainapora, Tehsil Offices and Block Offices to facilitate public access to land records, and aware them of the Revenue records that have been made available online.It was given out that the people will be sensitized through live demonstration about how Public users can search and view copies of Scanned data online on CIS Portal- http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/ which includes Jamabandis, Girdawaris, Masavis and Mutations etc.
The initiative has put the revenue records in public domain and has also facilitated easy online access to the Land Records besides making easy to register grievances, if any,Besides, the people can also get the print out of their land records via this portal and the need of the hour is that PRI members must propagate information regarding this portal among the people so that they can access their Land Records.The sole aim of this programme is to make revenue records accurate and transparent besides accessible and this is a unique initiative of Goverment under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and the district has achieved an important milestone to provide the most transparent and accountable services to the common masses.
