DLSA Kulgam organizes Mega Legal Aid camp

In pursuance to the directions of J&K Legal Services Authority and under the banner of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam in collaboration with District Administration Kulgam today organised a Mega Legal Aid camp at Rest house, here. The camp was inaugurated by Chairman DLSA Kulgam, Tahir Khurshid Raina.The Chairman in his keynote address explained the concept of Legal awareness and rationale behind organizing such camps. The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Showket Ahmad highlighted the role of Legal Services Authorities in redressing the grievances of people.At the campsite, almost 16 stalls were installed by concerned Departments wherein awareness regarding related schemes was raised among people.On the occasion, Sanction cards (Old Age Pension) and WheelChairs were distributed by the Social Welfare department.The Agriculture Department sanctioned one Tractor, two Mushroom units and two Fertilizers units among beneficiaries.Similarly, benefits were extended by Animal Husbandry, Horticulture,  Sheep Husbandry,  Sericulture, Fisheries, Labour department and on spot almost 100 beneficiaries were benefitted.Programme was also attended by, Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Kulgam, Som Lal; Chief Judicial Magistrate Kulgam, Manzoor Ahmad Zarger ; Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kulgam, Mehreen Mushtaq Malik; Additional Mobile Magistrate Kulgam, Vishal Bharti; Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee D.H.Pora, Altaf Hussain Mir, PLVs and staff of DLSA Kulgam.
