Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL), in collaboration with Divisional Administration Jammu and Directorate of Tourism, Jammu on Wednesday organised a Light and Sound show and a musical evening here at Bahu Fort Jammu as a part of “Iconic week” celebration.On the occasion, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta was the Chief Guest.The programme began with a performance of renowned singer of Jammu, Juhi Singh followed by mesmerizing light and sound show. During the event, a documentary depicting the famous heritage sites of Jammu was also screened along with an enthralling show of graphics which were projected on the wall of Bahu Fort facing the Fisheries Park.The light and sound show highlighted the heritage look of the historic Bahu Fort of Jammu city. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta said that the development of Jammu city as an independent Tourist Destination is receiving focused attention under the Smart City Project. “Many projects are completed and many more are being executed to bring the city of temples at par with other metro cities of the country,” he said.

He added that the Light and sound show at Bahu Fort, Jammu will continue for two more days and if liked by the people it can be continued.Avny Lavasa, Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) said that the sound and light show highlighting rich heritage and the history of Jammu City has been introduced to add another dimension to attract and retain tourists in the City of Temples.She added that the JSCL has also installed smart facade lighting, which will change colours according to different occasions like National Holiday and other festivals.“The facade lighting enhances the aesthetic appeal as well as the overall appearance of the bridges,” she said.Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Mukesh Singh; Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Anshul Garg; Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Jammu, Atul Kumar Goel; SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli; Additional CEO, JSCL Hitesh Gupta; Corporators, government officials, prominent citizens  were also present on the occasion.
