A weekly Block Diwas was today presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar Ahmad in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.During the program, Sarpanches and Panches of block Safapora apprised the officers/officials of district administration about various basic requirements particularly improvement in water supply, improvement of roads, upgradation of transformers, repairing of damaged electric poles and wires, better healthcare facilities and other development issues of the block.The ADDC patiently listened to all the issues and demands put forth by the PRIs and reiterated that the purpose of conducting Block Diwas is to reach out to the public and listen to their grievances and issues, besides ensuring on spot redressal of grievances. He assured the PRIs that the demands and issues raised would be executed without prolonging the processes which are under the jurisdiction of district administration and rest would be taken up with the concerned higher authorities.The officers present during the Block Diwas included ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACD, ACP, Ex. Engineers of various wings, CMO, CEO, Tehsildar Safapora, BDO and other concerned.
