Punjab Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, on Monday, announced that review meetings to ensure overall development of district Mansa would be held fortnightly.Presiding over a maiden meeting as the Minister In-charge of Mansa with district officials and various elected representatives at Bachchat Bhawan here, the Cabinet Minister asked the heads of all the departments to be punctual and provide government services in a time bound and transparent manner, saying that the dignity of every elected representative in the government offices must be ensured. The Cabinet Minister said, "I will keep a close tab on the development works in the district, especially on the progress of the health and education sector, and corruption in government functioning will not be tolerated at any cost.""As we have ensured drastic improvement in the Transport Department, we will also take appropriate steps to provide all kinds of facilities and to redress all the public issues in district Mansa", said the Minister, while asking the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police to fix the responsibility of each officer for resolving the Public issues. He said that regular review meetings will be held to resolve the pendency.
While instructing the district administrative officials to resolve the issues pertaining to sewerage, sanitation, roads, motor connections, MGNREGA etc. raised by the various district representatives, the Cabinet Minister said that these works should be resolved on priority.Earlier, the district police presented Guard of Honour to the Transport Minister Mr. Amarinder Singh Warring on his maiden visit after assuming charge as the Transport Minister.Prominent amongst others presented in the meeting included MLA Nazar Singh Manshahia, former MLA Ajit Inder Singh Mofar, Chairman District Planning Board Prem Mittal, Chairman Zila Parishad Bikram Singh Mofar, Punjab Safai Karmachari Commission Vice Chairman Ram Singh Sardulgarh, Senior Congress Leader Dr. Manju Bansal and Ranjit Kaur Bhatti, Municipal Council Mansa President Smt.
