Police Commemoration Day parade was observed in remembrance of Police Personnel who achieved martyrdom in the line of duty. The function was held at District Police Lines Pulwama, to pay homage to those policemen who lost their lives for the peace and integrity of the nation. SSP Pulwama Shri Gh. Jeelani Wani-JKPS, paid a floral tribute to all martyrs of the police and two minutes silence was observed. SSP Pulwama took salute of the Police Commemoration Day Parade. DC Pulwama Shri Baseer-ul-Haq Khan Choudary, ASP Pulwama Shri Tanveer Ahmad-JKPS, CAPF and other police officers attended the function.On the occasion SSP Pulwama said,”we salute the courage, valor and sacrifices of our brave martyrs who laid their lives for unity and integrity of the Nation. The function was followed by laying of wreaths and showering of flowers by the officers, jawans, and the members of Martyr’s families.

Besides Pulwama Police organized Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket, Volleyball & Kabadi Tournaments under Civic Action programme, in presence of DC Pulwama Shri Baseer-ul-Haq Khan Choudary-IAS, CO 182,183 of CRPF and other officers at DPL Pulwama. Inaugural matche of Cricket was played between Alamdar Cricket Club Kakapora VS District Police Pulwama Cricket Club, Volley Ball inaugural match played between Net Ninjas Rahmoo VS Shining star Achan & also Kabadi inaugural match played between Police Pulwama Kabadi Club VS Drusoo Kabadi Club. The civilian and Police martyrs families also attended the programme. At the conclusion, DC Pulwama & SSP Pulwama interacted with the NOK’s of Police martyrs and assured them all possible support/assistance and as a token of respect distributed blankets among the NOK’s of martyrs.
