The Tourist Spot Botapathri is a little known dreamland in the lap of Nagin Valley located at World's Famous Tourist Spot Gulmarg of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Bota Pathri was open for Tourists in May 2012 by the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department which was widely attended by army qpersonnel, locals as well as tourists. There was huge influx of tourists in J&K, that  The surge in the tourists visiting Gulmarg resulted in it getting congested and Bota Pathri was good place for Tourists.Bota Pathri, boasts of serene natural beauty, is called Nagin Valley.It is a virgin and pristine place. The infrastructure over here is environment friendly, eco sensitive and is new destination for the tourists..


Bota Pathri a Unique Place, & Road Accessible spot in Gulmarg

Botapathri, a picturesque meadow is also a good picnic spot & remains a unique place in Gulmarg because it is the only road accessible place here where you’ll find fast flowing streams of water. So, for a perfect getaway for the day, Botapathri is the place for you to visit with your friends & family. Bota Pathri is 10 km away from Gulmarg. The road is surrounded by mesmerizing landscapes and forests, The road is well maintained as it is near LOC and movement of Army. The drive towards spot is surreal On the way towards Botapathri, you have to pass through an army checkpoint which is located near the high altitude warfare school & get permission to visit Botapathri since it is a border area. This road eventually leads to the Apharwat Peak and the Alpather Lake although no civilian movement is allowed beyond the second checkpoint,This Place had been closed to visitors a period of 22 years for tourism from 1990 to 2012, as it was just 5 kilometres away from the line of control and was reopened for tourism in May 2012.

Horse Riding, Tea stalls and dokas

Horse Riding is also famous in Bota Pathri and is livelihood of People, There are a few “gujjar-dokas” & also a Shrine cradled in heart of the meadows of Botapathri & around the place are a few tea & maggi stalls also.

Road ,Railway Station and Airport

If you want to visit Bota Pathri  by road from Srinagar which is summer Capital the distance is 47 Kms to reach Gulmarg first after that you travel more 10 kms to reach Bota Pathri  and is 2 hours travel through taxi. The Nearest Airport of Gulmarg is Srinagar International Airport and nearer railway station is SERNDANUR (SXR).Located in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district Gulmarg is a Famous Tourist destination across globe in all weather.
