Union MoS for Communication e-inaugurates developmental projects at Pulwama

Union Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan, today said that Union Government headed by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is stepping forward with added vigour and devotion to realize its vision of enhanced growth and development in Jammu and Kashmir.“The ongoing outreach programmes initiated by the government are yielding tangible results with speedy and timely redressal of issues and concerns of people of the UT”, said the Minister said who e-inaugurated and laid foundation of various developmental projects in the district.The Minister stated this during his exhaustive visit to Pulwama, he asked the district administration to further step up their efforts towards holistic development of the district while describing Pulwama as growth engine of Jammu and Kashmir.Shri Chauhan, while getting details about the status of development works being executed in the district during a meeting convened here in this regard, sought vital statistics pertaining to different government schemes and initiatives.

Among the various developmental projects inaugurated by the minister are NTPHC’s Lethpora, Zantrag, Wuyan, Sub Centre Chakoora, Doctors Residential Quarter project Kakapora, double story school building Gulzarpora, Girls Hostal Khrew, Water Supply Scheme Nehama Kakapora, Lift Irrigation Scheme Tral, Kadlabal Pampore Receiving Station, auditorium at GDC Boys Pulwama, R&B Sub Division Office Building Rajpora and roads connecting different areas of the district.The Minister enquired about the achievements under MSME, Dairy, Poultry, Horticulture, Agriculture and Saffron besides taking stock of targets set and achieved in sectors like Health, Social Welfare and Education. He also had a detailed feedback on flagship programmes like MGNREGA, Ayushman Bharat, NSAP, ISSS, PM-KISAN and other related schemes.Shri Chauhan exhorted upon the officers to maintain a good rapport with the people and focus on need based and area specific development projects for achieving optimum results on ground. He emphasized the need of working collectively in a total cohesive manner to ensure prompt public delivery system.Various delegations of BDC and ULB representatives and representatives of political parties called upon the Union Minister and apprised him of various issues concerning their respective areas. The Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputations and assured that all their genuine demands will be examined on priority and addressed accordingly.
