Meeting the long pending demand of the staff, Director Agriculture Production & Farmers’ Welfare, Jammu, K. K. Sharma today inaugurated the first aid centre at Krishi Bhawan Talab Tillo.To mark the opening of the first aid centre, a free medical examination camp was organized which was attended by officers and officials.The Director said that this centre will be used for free medical checkup of staff of Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu providing facilities like  Blood Pressure Check up, Glucose fasting test and general health examination. He said the visiting farmers can also avail this medical facility. The medicine will be provided free of cost.The Director urged the staff members to take full advantage of this health facility as good health is prerequisite for maintaining efficient work culture.The first aid centre cum dispensary will be maintained through Employees Welfare Fund on Charity basis.The centre is equipped with a Stethoscope, Weight scale, monitor for measuring heart rate, blood pressure, thermometer, gluco-meter and other first aid material .Those present on the occasion included Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), Rajan Sharma; Joint Director( Marketing), A. S. Reen; Joint Director (Farms), Rajinder Sharma; Joint director (Apiculture& Mushroom), Iqbal Singh besides other officers and staff of Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu.
