As apple season has been started in India's Jammu and Kashmir Mega Fruit Mandi of South Kashmir’s Shopian which is located at Aglar starts its operations on Wednesday.Large number of fruit merchants from the whole country have reached Aglar Shopian mandi to purchase quality apples from there.as this South Kashmir district has produced quality product of Apples.Talking to news outlet 5 Dariya news a non local merchant told, In the entire country Shopian produced quality apples and I appeal to all merchants in country to visit purchase these apples for boost their business.The season is in Intial stage but rush in the Mandi shows this year will be business year for merchants as well as growers, Local Merchant said,Mir Mohammad Amin, President of the Fruit Association Mandi said, I welcomed all the fruit merchants from outside states inorder to get quality apples from Shopain and we all are happy that this will be the best season for our farmers who have started selling their apples.The growers and apple merchants hails the efforts law enforcement wing of Agriculture Department Shopian for their determined duties.On the other side local fruit merchants held a silent protest against non local merchants alleged cheating & Deception.They told deception in the Mandi is from long time and government is not show interest in it and demanded strict law should be framed so that deceptions and defaulters do not stand a chance in the trade.It is pertinently mention here that kashmir has produced kullu delicious and Delicious varieties of apples in a large quantity and its harvesting season starts from September to Ending October.
